Yin Yoga

Nancy Perin

Nancy started Bikram yoga in 2012. She was overwhelmed with emotion after her first class. She felt revitalised, re-energised, and reborn. The shifts started from there. She quit alcohol in August 2013. Plus quit her job in the childcare industry. A regular yoga practice transformed her entire lifestyle. Everyday became amazing.

In 2014 she became a certified Bikram Yoga teacher after training in LA. For Nancy the 500-hour nine-week process was life changing and priceless. It allowed her to witness her mind, physical body, and spirit being in absolute balance. For Nancy, yoga is a way of life, it’s all encompassing. And she understands it’s a huge topic so continues to study. She became a certified 200 hours Yin Yoga Teacher in 2015, where she learned the importance of meditation. From there she went on to complete a further 300 hours in Hatha and Vinyasa in India in 2017.

Teaching Hot Yoga and Yin Yoga is now Nancy’s full time job. And she’s grateful that her job involves being able to guide people to their own transformative journey.


Kat Gregory

Kat is an enthusiastic and holistic minded yoga teacher of both Bikram (Hot Yoga) & Yin Yoga styles. Since graduating from Bikram’s College of India in Fall 2011 Kat has taught in studios all around Australia as well as in the UK. Yoga has played a transformational healing role in Kat’s life that has seen her go from city party girl to holistic wellness advocate. Having mentored with some of the best senior teachers from Australia and around the world, Kat is always keen to expand her knowledge and education to pass onto the students. Outside of the yoga room, Kat is a Usui Reiki Master & intuitive healer. Combining her passions for metaphysics and movement Kat weaves into her classes her love for the Chakras, Chinese Meridians and current energy forecasting.

Renae Bedells

Renae found Ashtanga yoga in 2002. In the early years, Renae practiced to stretch after running and boxing but also enjoyed the physical challenge that Ashtanga provided. As the years rolled on and her studies and later work as a Primary teacher became more demanding, she found herself retreating to yoga to become centred and release stress and anxiety.

After teaching in the Pilbara for two years and feeling ‘burnt out’ yoga became a form of therapy. After experiencing a major life turn-around she decided she would combine her love for yoga and her passion for children’s education and embark on her Yoga Teacher Training in 2011 at the Yoga Space. It was here she was able to totally commit to yoga and developed a strong and much deeper practice and understanding of yoga and meditation.

Renae teaches Yin Yoga, Hatha Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, and Power Yoga. She specialises in Children’s Yoga and teaches Mindfulness Courses in schools. She caters to all levels by providing modifications and enjoys working closely with individuals to help them feel safe and challenged in their practice.


Lee-Anne Heron

Lee-Anne is mum of three, a naturopath with over 15 years clinical experience, and her yoga practice dates back as far. Certified in Yin Yoga, Rainbow Family and Kids Yoga (Vinyasa), Core + Hot Pilates, Yoga Tune Up®, The Roll Model Method®, PT, BSc (Nat), Thai Yoga Massage, and a broad range of manual therapies, Lee has a solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, human movement, and pranayama.

She teaches from a functional perspective, based in anatomy. You’ll embody the muscle, fascia or function of each pose in Lee’s class. Lee also recognises that each individual is different and can help students find shapes that suit their individual bone structure, injuries/tensions, and flexibility.

When she’s not working she’s at the park or beach with three kids, playing acro yoga or enjoying the gymnastics of crossfit.

Yin Yoga is a more inward and quieter style conducted in an unheated room. It is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (Yang) styles of yoga that emphasise internal heat, progressive movement and the contracting of our muscles. Yin is slower in nature (not to be confused with easy) and focuses on deep stretching and compressing that may assist to correct postural imbalances created by tight fascia (connective tissues). Yin is a stepping-stone to meditation with longer posture holds from 2-10 minutes with the use of props to avoid muscle fatigue. Yin Yoga creates space for the cultivation of mindfulness, internal focus and surrender.
